Tasting Note：

Appearance : A very pale hue with carmine reflections.

Nose: Delicate, elegant and complex scents, with notes of white flowers, red berries, grapefruit and a light caramel finish.

Palate: Round mouthfeel and intensely aromatic around flavors of pear, citrus fruit. The finish displays a hint of Cubeb pepper.

  

Winemaking

Harvesting is done at night to limit oxidation and preserve the freshness of the aromas and fruit. Limitation of inputs to reduce the use of sulphites (SO2). Traditional vinification.

 

About Château d’Astros

The Château d’Astros is located in the heart of Provence. The vineyard has produced wine since the 12th century. Originally planted by the knights Templars, the vines were purchased by the vineyard in 1802. On the hillsides of the Vieux Château d’Astros, the limestone and stony soil provides a fertile ground for powerful tasty grapes. Fifty years ago, the current owner Bernard Maurel planted new vines and grew the first grapes to produce the first AOP Cotes de Provence Rose.
