"Rosé di Neré is an elegant wine characterized by its pale rose color and subtle peach highlights. Intense, with immediate freshness and a bouquet of ripe, elegant fruit. In the mouth, the wine is enveloping and well-rounded with citrus notes of pink grapefruit. Very long and beautiful finish. Perfect for the most classic Sicilian fish cuisine as well as more daring and less traditional pairing, incredibly versatile and pleasant on any occasion, also as a glass on its own at anytime. Rose, a wine enjoyable in any occasion, is becoming more and more popular with both critics and wine lovers."
"Subtle aromas of white stone fruit and broom waft out of the glass, while the light, simple palate suggests sour cherry and orange rind. Crisp acidity keeps it fresh." KERIN O’KEEFE
Tasting notes
Cherry colour wine that hits you with an explosion of floral and fruit scents on the nose that reminds you a ripe pears and cherries, on the palate fresh and juicy, tasty with light tannins
About Rose di Nere
Nero d’Avola vines are 25-30 years old, planted with a southern exposure at 80 meters above sea level. Yields are 6.6 tons/acre, to encourage aromatic depth and flavor complexity. In the spring, the vines are pruned to one bud per plant, and in June/July, a green harvest eliminates lesser grapes. Twenty days prior to harvest, there's an additional cluster thinning, or a selection of the best grapes in the bunch. To develop superior aromas and texture, the wine is aged in steel tanks rather than oak to retain the grape's fresh, crisp and fruity characters.
