"Bottled in a decanter (thoughtfully supplied with a stopper), this is De Venoge's homage to King Louis XV, who first decreed the bottling of Champagne in the region to preserve the bubbles. This shows toasty, petrol richness, but has preserved much of its original freshness, leaving a good few years' potential." ROGER VOSS

The Cuvée Louis XV 1995 De Venoge is the new Prestige Cuvée by Champagne De Venoge, it is produced only in very great years. For over 175 years, de Venoge has ensured that each bottle is aged for 36 months minimum, uses only first pressings and keeps grape varieties separated until final blending. This wine has aged 10 years in the cellar to highlight its exceptional qualities and the expertise of the cellar master. Blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Grape: Chardonnay, the Cuvée Louis XV 1995 is very representative of the 1995 vintage. The bottle of the Cuvée Louis XV is a carafe with a flared bottom and narrow neck that perfectly concentrates the aromas. The Cuvée Louis XV 1995 De Venoge is delivered in a beautiful box. The Cuvée Louis XV De Venoge has a dress of intense gold, with fine and elegant bubbles. The nose of this wine is marked by toasty notes, it is voluptuous and very elegant. On the palate, this Champagne reveals a paradox of fine and intense aromas, frank and shimmering, fresh and evolved. This particular wine is produced in an elegant decanter-style bottle, resulting in a golden, complex wine deserving of the Louis XV name.

About Champagne de Venoge:

Champagne de Venoge is a historic House based on Avenue de Champagne in Epernay since 1837. Co-founder of the Syndicat des Grandes Marques de Champagne in 1872 to guarantee quality standards, creator of the illustrated labels, first House that launched a Blanc de Noirs, de Venoge always could count on a refined and amateur clientele. Created in 1852 the Cordon Bleu is the symbol of the Champagne House.

De Venoge has had for a long time talentuous enologists and imposes high-quality standards concerning the aging of the wines, the grape selection in the best crus, and a low-dosage politic. Champagne de Venoge produces emblematic Cuvée like the Champagne des Princes or the Cuvée Louis XV with their typical bottle shaped like a decanter. The House also counts as one of the richest vinoth̬que in Champagne. Part of Lanson-BCC, the house is widely present in the French market. It is lately enjoying greater visibility abroad as its champagnes earned impressive ratings by the prestigious publication Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, becoming one of the best-rated Champagne houses. The wines of the House are exported in 40 countries only in the selective distribution network: specialized shops, hotels, and restaurants.
